Energy plant efficiency – Three important types of efficiency. The economics of a power plant concern the cost of generating a certain amount of useful energy or electricity. The operating efficiency of a power plant measures effective power compared to the maximum potential power. Then the energy efficiency of a power plant relates to the ratio between usable output energy and thermal input energy.  Electrostatic precipitators – electrostatic precipitators (ESP).

Their goal is to collect and remove dust particles with a typical efficiency of 99.9% or more from the exhaust gases of a power plant. Above all, Electrostatic precipitators work by applying a positive charge to a group of plates installed at the level of the exhaust gas flow. So, Fire protection for power plants -NFPA 850 contains recommendations on fire protection for fossil fuels or alternative power plants. Such as cable tunnel distribution rooms, control rooms, computer rooms, control rooms, battery rooms, warehouses.

Oil systems and boilers, fuel tanks, containers, etc. in adjacent areas. Firstly,  The resulting gases enter the gas turbine at very high temperatures. Secondly, The exhaust gases from the gas turbine at 500-5500 ° C pass through the heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) to boil the water using residual heat. Lastly, The steam generated by this residual heat drives the steam turbine. And then, Coal Power Plant – The coal power plant uses the following sub-processes. (1) The boiler uses coal or synthesis gas to boil the water and generate superheated steam.  Lastly, (2) The boiler’s superheated steam expands in the flow turbine to generate energy.

Typical PFD representation of an IGCC power plant – A typical process flow diagram (PFD) of a gasification combined cycle power plant (IGCC). Above all, coal is first suspended in water and fed to the gasifier. The raw synthesis gas leaves the carburetor at temperature.  And treated to remove the sulfur content. So, The residual heat from the flue gases at the turbine outlet is used. In a “heat recovery steam generator” to generate steam which generates more energy in a steam turbine.
